Visit frequency is based on your needs and your physician’s orders. Many patients start with more frequent visits to stabilize symptoms, then shift to fewer visits as they improve.

Cost and Coverage

Skilled nursing may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance when criteria are met. We help confirm eligibility and explain any costs so you know what to expect.

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be homebound to receive skilled nursing?

Some insurance plans (including Medicare) may require homebound status and a physician order. Requirements vary by plan. We can help confirm eligibility.

Do I need a caregiver present during visits?

A caregiver isn’t required, but having a support person can help with safety, education, and follow-through on the care plan.

What should I have ready for the first visit?

An up-to-date medication list, recent discharge or clinic notes, your ID and insurance information, and a list of questions or goals.

Will you coordinate with my doctor and other providers?

Yes. We update your physician on progress and changes, and we coordinate with therapy, pharmacy, and other providers as needed.

Can I receive therapy or aide services along with skilled nursing?

Often yes. Your plan of care may include physical, occupational, or speech therapy and home health aide support when ordered by your physician.

What if my symptoms get worse between visits?

Call our team for guidance on new or changing symptoms. For severe symptoms or emergencies, call 911 immediately.
